This is another year in a row when the tax and financial advisors of TPA Poland, currently operating under the Baker Tilly TPA brand, receive an award in the Tax & Financial Adviser category of EuropaProperty CEE Investment & Manufacturing Awards, one of the most important rankings in the real estate market.
“This year, due to difficult circumstances, the award is particularly valuable to us. We are pleased that the relationships, trust and quality of service developed over the years have led clients to entrust us with the tax and financial servicing of their transactions in the changed reality of the pandemic. It certainly serves as an additional motivation for us to get involved in new tasks and projects in both virtual and traditional formulas. This is an award for the entire team that, despite the forced isolation, showed great commitment and creativity. Thank you all very much and congratulations!” said Małgorzata Dankowska, Partner heading the real estate team and the Warsaw tax division of TPA Poland.
It can be easily seen that the awards granted to TPA Poland year after year are the result of the selected and consistently implemented strategy in real estate projects.
“What makes our offer stand out is the multidisciplinary and comprehensive services. Clients get holistic support in a given project – including tax, financial and legal support, which significantly minimizes the risk and guarantees a faster and harmonious transaction flow.” commented Krzysztof Horodko, Managing Partner, Baker Tilly TPA.
It is worth noting that since August 2020 the financial services offered by the audit and business consulting team have been provided under the Baker Tilly TPA brand. This is the result of strengthening TPA’s integration with the Baker Tilly International network, which is part of the TOP10 network of global consulting companies, as well as the confirmation of its international reach and the highest and uniform standards.
“Our experts have been working in this way for many years, combining specializations in many fields with extensive experience, not only domestic but also international. Only this kind of approach is beneficial for the clients because it allows them to focus on the most important aspects, leaving the coordination of the remaining areas in the hands of experienced tax and financial advisors. This is the key to success,” added Krzysztof Horodko, Managing Partner, Baker Tilly TPA.
This approach is confirmed by numerous projects – including the most significant ones in the market – carried out by TPA Poland in this comprehensive manner. Among the recent ones, it is worth mentioning the transaction of acquisition of the Generation Park Z office building from Skanska in Warsaw by the Deka Immobilien Fund or the sale of the D48 office building in Warsaw at the intersection of Domasniewska and Postępu streets, which was advised on by the tax and financial teams in cooperation with each other.
“The latest projects were executed in a completely changed reality. The pandemic has significantly accelerated the digitalization of business, forced an immediate introduction of remote work, and replaced traditional forms of contact and communication with online channels. It was a challenge not only for our advisors, but also for the clients themselves. Looking at the residential and warehouse sectors, which are still performing well, we can safely say that we have passed this test. What is more, these experiences initiated further positive changes in the real estate industry. After a moment of uncertainty, we observe a growing interest of investors in different asset classes than before. They are in areas in which we also specialize.” added Krzysztof Kaczmarek, Managing Partner, TPA Poland.
It is worth mentioning that not only the office market in the last year could boast of significant transactions. The same applies to institutional investments for rent. The TPA Real Estate Services team, led by Wojciech Doliński and Michał Sternicki, has also actively advised in this area. This can be illustrated by the purchase of land in Warsaw by a property development company 6B47 Poland for a student dormitory. This can be illustrated by the purchase of land in Warsaw by a property development company 6B47 Poland for a student dorm. The transaction involved the purchase of 2,200 sqm of land next to Grochowska street in Warsaw. The plans provide for the construction of a mixed-use building with a total area of around 12,000 m2, which will consist of the dormitory, a retail part and an underground car park.
The ‘Tax and Financial Adviser’ award is granted by an independent jury, consisting of prominent figures from the real estate sector, representing, among others, leading investors and developers. This jury selected and awarded persons, institutions and projects that were characterized by the highest value, unique quality or considerable scale last year. The award categories included: Investor of the Year, Investment Asset Management Firm, Investment Deals, Office Project, or Law Firm. This year TPA Poland was the Partner of the Investment Deal 50-100 million PLN category.
