The finale of the Top Woman in Real Estate competition is over. TPA Poland received award in the Tax & Accounting Services category. These are yet another awards won by our Team in this prestigious competition.

“It is of particular value when the industry – in this case, the real estate industry – that we work with on a daily basis and provide comprehensive advisory services to, distinguishes our team. We are glad that the Jury appreciated not only our knowledge and experience in implementing numerous complex or pioneering projects, but also our involvement in activities promoting women in business. In our company alone, more than 60% of managerial positions are held by outstanding ladies, specialists and experts in their fields, who successfully combine achieving business and personal success,” Małgorzata Dankowska, Partner heading the real estate team and the Warsaw tax division of TPA Poland, commented on the results.

“Just as important is the fact that we have received another award in the Tax & Accounting category, which serves as a proof that we had managed to create a remarkable team working in a supportive atmosphere, while also fostering comprehensive development. All of that makes TPA Poland a perfect place for committed people looking for unique knowledge and open to new experiences. My thanks and congratulations go to the entire TPA Poland team,” added Małgorzata Dankowska.

She went on to say that TPA Poland is the leader in the real estate market not only in terms of the value of the transactions that the company has advised on (€6.4 billion), but also in terms of the assets of the clients served by the accounting and payroll outsourcing team (€4.1 billion).

In spite of a very challenging 2020, the team of tax advisors led by Małgorzata Dankowska successfully finalized many transactions, including: the acquisition of the D48 office building by the IAD Investments fund, which manages assets in Slovakia and the Czech Republic with a total value of over €1.03 billion, the purchase of the Generation Park Z building for €98 million by the Deka Immobilien fund; as well as advised on the acquisition of the Brama Portowa office complex in Szczecin by the FLE SICAV FIS fund and the acquisition of Offices at Warzelnia, the largest office building in the Warsaw Brewery complex, as well as of the historic Warzelnia Brewery for more than €150 million by the Deka Immobilien fund from a subsidiary of the listed company Echo Investments S. A., the largest developer in Poland (the transaction will be finalized in 2021).

It is also worth emphasizing that TPA Poland has been involved in initiatives supporting women in the Real Estate industry for years. Since this year, it has officially held the title of the Company Supporting the Idea of Promoting Women in Business. TPA Poland actively participates in the works of the Top Woman in Real Estate competition jury, and Małgorzata Dankowska, partner in TPA Poland, who was honored during the gala, had been a mentor in the first edition of the Top Woman in Real Estate Mentoring Program.

“The previous year was particularly difficult for entrepreneurs, especially those in the real estate industry. The pandemic and the imposed restrictions blocked many initiatives and froze business activity in the market. As both real estate companies and we, as their advisors, have had to operate in such difficult conditions, this year’s awards and honors are exceptional,” emphasized Krzysztof Dziekoński, Partner in the audit department of Baker Tilly TPA, who presented the award in the Legal Advisory Services category.

Top Woman in Real Estate is a competition prepared by an independent Program Council. The awards are given by a Jury, composed of persons of authority in the real estate and construction industry. The jury evaluated both specific achievements and special skills. The competition’s initiators wanted to honor women from nearly all areas of real estate and construction, including architecture, engineering, development, finance, sales, brokerage, marketing and sustainability.

The aim of the contest is to recognize women and companies supporting and promoting women as well as popularizing good practices and business relations across the industry.
